Brake fluid is important to ensure that all of the major components in the braking system are protected and to ensure that your brakes function exactly as they should.

As soon as you place pressure on the brake, the system’s fluid ensures that the brake pads connect with the rotors, in turn slowing the car down predictably. However, over time the brake fluid becomes aerated absorbing oxygen, moisture and many other potential pollutants. If you’ve found that your brakes are starting to feel spongy, then it may be that your braking fluid has absorbed too much air. This warning sign should be taken seriously, as spongy brakes indicate that the effectiveness of your brakes is severely compromised. A brake fluid flush restores your braking system and increases the longevity of your braking components.

How often should you change your brake fluid?
